Blackboard Server Maintenance — 5 Jan., 1h30-2h30
Please make a note and inform your appropriate staff that card swipe readers will not work from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2006. During this time, a maintanence upgrade will be performed to fix several bugs reported related to Optim 9.2. While OneCard server is down, all of card swipe readers will remain off-line and all access to Optim (Krell) will be restricted.
…
* POS readers (cash registers) and activity readers (guard desk swipe readers) will work from the off-line status without validating transactions and store them in their local memory, ie readers will display “TRANSACTION ACCEPTED” instead of “TRANSACTION VALID.” Once readers are back on-line, the off-line transactions will be downloaded automatically to the system.
* Value Transfer Stations, vending readers, sentry readers (turnstiles), and laundry center readers will not accept any transactions while they are off-line.
* Bookstore interface (Bookstore) and equitrac reader interface (Library) will not process any transactions during this time.
* SSOL Dining Dollars and FlexAccount deposits won’t be processed until the system is back on-line; however students can still request deposits on-line.
We will notify you when the upgrade is completed. Please contact me if you have any concerns or questions regarding to this upgrade.
Thank you.
